Linea Laird has dedicated her 32-year engineering career to improving the transportation system in Washington state. As a strategic advisor for WSP USA, Linea works within the Northwest region to advance client relationships and expand knowledge around major infrastructure projects, implement business development strategies, and serve as an expert on complex project delivery while identifying innovative approaches to meet client goals.

In her 30-year career at Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT), culminating as Chief Engineer/Assistant Secretary of Engineering and Regional operations, Linea played an integral part in some of the most significant projects and programs in the state. As a leader at WSDOT, Laird was instrumental to the successful delivery of MEGA projects through all phases of community engagement, development and capital delivery. She was the project manager for the $760 million Tacoma Narrows Bridge project, and director of design-build and program administrator for the $1.6 billion Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Program.

After retiring from WSDOT, Linea accepted an 8-month assignment for Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan as Interim Director of Seattle DOT, helping guide the agency through a period of review and transition.
