Since 2002, The Paul Zia Distinguished Lecture Series has been at the forefront of the engineering industry, showcasing the world's most exciting projects and the engineers that make them happen.

 

Our Mission

Honor Dr. Paul Zia by recalling his contributions to our knowledge of concrete, his contributions to increasing the stature of North Carolina State University and the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, and by honoring the contributions of structural engineers in general. 

What We've Acheived

  • Raised more than $450,000 to support the NC State Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering

  • Hosted more than 9,500 attendees at 22 annual lectures


The Paul Zia Distinguished Lecture Series is an annual lecture that was conceived in affiliation with the North Carolina State University Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering and the Constructed Facilities Lab (CFL).  This website is the central source of information for the lecture and is maintained by The Paul Zia Distinguished Lecture Series Committee. The lecture is made possible through an agreement with the NC State Engineering Foundation.
